The Sail
A stylized sail made of travertine, by the sculptor Albanian Ghent, is the homage of San Benedetto-Lions Club to Mgr. Francesco Sciocchetti (1861 - 1946).

The work was donated to the City of San Benedetto and inaugurated on Saturday, July 8, 2006 is placed at the south pier of the port.

Mgr. Sciocchetti made the first trawler in Italy, the "San Marco" and played a variety of activities for the local navy and community: the first professional and craft school, the first emergency room, the Bank 'Cassa Rurale and Artigianale'.
